About the opportunity:
Help build stronger, safer, and more connected communities. In this rewarding role, you'll work alongside residents, community groups, service providers, emergency services and other key stakeholders to deliver programs and projects that strengthen social connection, preparedness and local capacity across the Shire. You'll lead community programs, coordinate emergency planning initiatives, secure grant funding and support recovery and resilience projects that make a real difference. To succeed in this position, you will meet the following criteria:
- Relevant degree or Diploma level qualifications in Community Services, Community Development, Emergency Planning, or a related field, with at least two years current work experience.

Demonstrated experience planning, delivering and evaluating community projects or programs in areas such as community preparedness, resilience, emergency planning and/or community development.

Proven ability to manage projects through the full project lifecycle, including budgeting, reporting, stakeholder coordination, and meeting deadlines.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with internal teams, external agencies, and community stakeholders to achieve collaborative outcomes.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparing reports and plans, presenting to diverse audiences, and providing clear guidance to teams and community groups.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, while managing competing priorities.

Demonstrated experience preparing, submitting and managing grant applications, including acquittal and reporting requirements.

Ability to work flexibly, including out-of-hours as required.

Current Class C Driver’s Licence and working with Children Check
