About the role

You will be a Qualified Veterinary Nurse providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a friendly veterinary practice in Strathalbyn. This is a part-time role working closely with animals and their owners as part of a supportive and professional team.

Key responsibilities

Providing high-quality nursing care to patients
Assisting veterinarians with consultations, procedures and surgery
Monitoring anaesthesia and recovering patients
Preparing and maintaining surgical and treatment areas
Administering medications and treatments as directed
Maintaining accurate patient records
Providing compassionate and professional client care
Supporting the day-to-day running of the veterinary practice

About you

Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
Has previous veterinary nursing experience
Is confident handling a wide range of animals
Has excellent communication and customer-service skills
Works well both independently and as part of a team
Is organised, reliable and able to prioritise in a busy environment
Has a genuine passion for animal welfare and patient care
Brings a positive, friendly attitude to the workplace
