Full Job Description

Due to continued growth, we are looking to welcome a Part Time Medical Receptionist to our reception team.

The successful applicant will have previous experience working with Best Practice. You will also be self motivated, reliable and be a fast learner with enthusiasm in offering exceptional patient service and care.

A minimum of 2+ years of medical receptionist experience is required for this position.

Remuneration is based on experience and level of duty required.

The successful candidate will work Monday - Friday but must be available to cover weekends if required.

Key Responsibilities:

Greeting patients
Answering incoming calls
Processing accounts
Scanning, faxing and emailing.
Managing confidential practice correspondence either electronically or paper based.
Managing the Doctors and Nurses appointments
Assisting the Practice Manager with daily tasks
Australian permanent residency or equivalent work rights are required

As the right candidate you will have.

Highly proficient skills in typing and data entry
Demonstrated experience with medical software systems is essential
Attention to detail
Excellent prioritising and time management skills
Exceptional communication skills
An empathetic nature
Ability to work within a team and autonomously
Ability to multi-task and prioritise under pressure.
Reliable
Good work ethic

Desired Criteria:

Previous experience as a Medical or Allied Health receptionist
Best Practice Software Knowledge
Exceptional understanding of Medicare billing, mixed billing and compliance of Medicare.
Current CPR Certificate
Current National Police Clearance
Ability to prioritise and organise effectively in a busy environment
Excellent communication and attention to detail skills
Be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude
Minimum of 2 years experience
