Australian Christian College Victoria Ltd (ACC) is a non-denominational, Christian Education organisation, whose mission is to develop each and every student to be equipped spiritually, academically, socially and physically to flourish into their full potential, and be a positive influence on the world around them. About ACC Casey
Our ACC Casey campus, is located at Cranbourne South (45 minutes south of Melbourne), and is a P-11, co-ed, Christian school with Secondary year groups being added each year until P-12 is catered for.

This part-time Physical Education teaching role (0.6FTE) is due to start as soon as is practicable.
The position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for identity, rights to work in Australia, and child protection in accordance with ACC policy.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

Plan and implement a range of teaching programs or courses of study;

Have the content knowledge and pedagogical practice to meet the diverse needs of all students;

Demonstrate a commitment to improving professional practice through coaching and professional development

Provide a child safe environment in accordance with the child safe standards;

Participate in child safety and wellbeing induction and training provided by the school and always follow the school’s child safety and wellbeing policies and procedures;

Act in accordance with our Child Safety Code of Conduct;

Identify and raise concerns about child safety issues in accordance with our Child Safety Responding and Reporting Obligations Policy and Procedures, including following the Four Critical Actions for Schools;

Ensure students’ views are taken seriously and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives;
-
Model and promote the vision and values of the school;
-
Teach an area of the curriculum to primary levels;
-
Maintain records of class attendance and recording student progress;
-
Implement effective student management consistent with the school’s strategic plan;
-
Attend and participate in staff meetings as required;
-
Be actively involved in regular staff devotions and prayer.
