About the Opportunity:

The role of a clinical specialist works closely with the clinical excellence lead and is responsible for providing support to therapists of different levels of experience with clinical supervision, shadowing, mentoring and assisting with projects to deliver high end services into the community.

Your role as a Clinical Specialist | Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Assist the clinical excellence lead with projects/training and clinical supervision.
Complete comprehensive assessments and implement strategies working with children
Provide and monitor appropriate treatments/interventions and consultation services, tailored to client’s needs.
Participate in supervision and case conference meetings
Assist clinical excellence lead with delivering clinical training/mentoring to therapists in line with specialisation.
Assist with developing and implementing resources around clinical practices
Joint mentoring appointments with referrals in area of clinical specialisation
Mentor graduates and early career clinicians
Attend opportunities for networking, learning and development
Working closely with external providers, suppliers and building networks within the assistive technology and home modifications space
Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to share knowledge and ideas
Celebrate wins with your participants, families, and your colleagues and leadership team

Skills and experience required:

Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent/higher)
Up to 5+ Years Experience as an Occupational Therapist with a minimum of 2 years experience working within the paediatric field
Registered with AHPRA
National Police Check, Driver’s license,
Victorian working with Children’s Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check
A passion for making a difference, with great communication and time management skills
