Are you an experienced retail leader with a passion for AFL, customer experience and achieving results?

The AFL Store at Westfield West Lakes Shopping Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and commercially minded Store Manager to lead our team, drive sales and deliver an exceptional experience for every AFL fan who walks through our doors.

About the Role

As Store Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operation and performance of the store. You’ll lead from the front, inspire your team and create a high-energy retail environment where great customer service and strong commercial results go hand in hand.

Reporting to the Area Manager, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing a small team of Retail Assistants and ensuring the store consistently meets AFL Store standards across sales, customer service, merchandising, stock management and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Drive the achievement of weekly and monthly sales targets and KPIs
Lead, coach and motivate a team to deliver outstanding customer service and sales results
Create a positive, energetic and customer-focused store culture
Prepare and manage staff rosters to achieve operational and wage-cost efficiencies
Maintain exceptional visual merchandising and store presentation standards
Proactively manage stock levels, replenishment and inventory
Identify opportunities to increase sales and minimise stock loss
Manage cash handling, banking and general store administration
Prepare and communicate weekly sales and performance reports
Monitor store expenses and wage costs
Liaise regularly with Area Management and Head Office stakeholders
Ensure all Company policies, procedures and standards are followed
Maintain a safe, compliant and positive workplace in line with WHS requirements

About You

You are a confident and motivated retail leader who enjoys being hands-on and leading a team to achieve great results.

You will ideally have:

2+ years' experience in retail management
A proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs
Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
A sound understanding of retail operations and commercial performance
Experience with rostering, wage management and store administration
Knowledge of inventory management and stock control fundamentals
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Experience working with retail systems; Apparel 21 knowledge is highly regarded
A genuine passion for AFL and sport is advantageous

The Roster

· This is a Tuesday to Saturday roster, with availability to work public holidays when required.
