Sous Chef - MAMASAN BROADBEACH

Step Into One of the Gold Coast’s Most Ambitious Kitchens

ABOUT MAMASAN Following a major renovation and a complete menu evolution, we are expanding our kitchen leadership team to fuel the next chapter of our award-winning modern Asian dining experience.

Our kitchen is known for precision, pace and creativity. We honour Asian flavours with contemporary technique, operate with discipline and consistency, and deliver high-energy services that set the tone for the entire venue.

THE ROLE We are looking for experienced Sous Chefs who want to lead, influence and be part of a kitchen that is moving forward with purpose. This is not a “hold the fort” role - this is hands-on leadership, supporting our Exec and Head Chefs to drive:

Immaculate service execution
A high-performance, respectful team culture
Consistent quality across all stations
Structured prep systems and recipe accuracy
Menu development and innovation
High-volume service with calm, capable control

WHAT YOU BRING

2–3+ years in a Sous role within premium or high-volume venues
Strong understanding of Asian flavours or the desire to master them
The ability to lead service & sections confidently and support junior chefs
Excellent organisation, communication and service awareness
A proactive approach - you see what needs doing before you’re asked
A commitment to quality, teamwork and hospitality at the highest level
