About Shane's Trees
Shane's Trees is a forward thinking Arboriculture company starting in Sydney for over 30 years.
With our presence in Newcastle well established we are on the look out for an experienced
Team Leader to head up the crew and help lead the way forward.
About the role
The role will be varied, including working on-site to assist the crew, quoting, job co-ordination and team leadership.
Our crews are made up of qualified Arborist's, Climbers and non-climbers, Truckdrivers and Groundscrew.
Our yard is at Hexham with majority of work accross Newcastle and the Hunter region with some work at the Central Coast.

Key Responsibilities:
- Team leadership - motivate, support, train and mentor the crew
- Co-ordinate daily operations of each days work orders
- Monitor team productivity to ensure jobs run to schedule
- Operate and maintain plant and machinery and adhere to company requirements
- Perform Arborist tasks such as pruning and removing trees to Australia standards
- Manage and implement WH&S systems on site and implement safe work practices
- Client liaison - build and maintain positive client relationships
- Quoting - Provide quotes to clients utilising company frameworks
- Attend and engage in fortnightly staff and WH&S meetings
- Ensure self and team perform consistent work in a safe manner
- Be exceptionally punctual and reliable in your attendance
Skills & experience
- Customer service and Client liaison skills
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Highly organised with solid time management skills
- Confident to make correct decisions when empowered to do so
- A focused approach to achieve high quality standards
- Minimum 3 years industry experience
- White Card
- Drivers License
- Cert III in Arboriculture (or international equivalent)
- MR or HR License (Preferable but not necessary)
- First aid certificate (Preferable but not necessary)
- EWP ticket (Preferable but not necessary)
- Knowledge of WH&S environmental and council regulations (Preferable but not necessary)
- Risi certificate (Preferable but not necessary)
- ESi II certificate (Preferable but not necessary)
