We are seeking passionate educators to join our dedicated Joey’s Pouch team. If you are looking for a rewarding career and opportunities to make a big impact on the lives and learning of young children, we want to hear from you.

Joey's Pouch is a community owned, not for profit organisation, that caters for 39 children per day from 0-5 years of age. The Approved Provider is a Management Committee made up of parents and community as an incorporated body.

We recognise the critical role of early childhood educators, including teachers, in creating inclusive, culturally safe and nurturing environments filled with positive interactions that support children’s social and emotional development, stimulating learning, and allow children a sense of belonging. We believe in fostering collaborative and supportive relationships with families and colleagues, creating a strong sense of community within our centre.

As part of our team, you will work alongside a committed group of educators to deliver an innovative program that values diversity and is centred around play, exploration, and investigation.

Key Role Responsibilities:

· Responsibility for the development and implementation of an educational program.

· Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment.

· Work collaboratively within a team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.

· Delivery of a high quality, inclusive, educational program.

· Participate in professional and personal development.

· Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the vision, mission and values.

· Take part in excursions in the community, such as Bush Kindy, School Transitions, Farmers markets, and Community Visits.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Hold an ACECQA-approved Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Has a sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF), National Law and Regulations.
Demonstrates a strong commitment to child safety and the Child Safe Standards & the National Model Code
Has completed (or is willing to complete) the National Child Safe Training (GECCKO).
Understands mandatory reporting responsibilities and child protection legislation.
Hold a current NSW Working With Children Check.
Hold current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or is willing to obtain).
Has excellent communication skills and values respectful partnerships with children, families and colleagues.
Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a reflective and supportive team.
Has experience supporting children with diverse learning needs and abilities (highly desirable).
Experience in a community base preschool/long daycare setting is desirable but not essential.
Have a passion for early childhood education
Understanding of children's right to have a voice, anti-bias and inclusive practices, sustainability and natural learning environments.

Pay: From $27.00 per hour
