Joey's Pouch is a community owned, not for profit organisation, that caters for 39 children per day from 0-5 years of age. The Approved Provider is a Management Committee made up of parents and community as an incorporated body.

As part of our team, you will work alongside a committed group of educators to deliver an innovative program that values diversity and is centred around play, exploration, and investigation.
Key Role Responsibilities:
· Responsibility for the development and implementation of an educational program.
· Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment.
· Work collaboratively within a team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
· Delivery of a high quality, inclusive, educational program.
· Participate in professional and personal development.
· Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the vision, mission and values.
· Take part in excursions in the community, such as Bush Kindy, School Transitions, Farmers markets, and Community Visits.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Hold an ACECQA-approved Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Has a sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF), National Law and Regulations.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to child safety and the Child Safe Standards & the National Model Code
- Has completed (or is willing to complete) the National Child Safe Training (GECCKO).
- Understands mandatory reporting responsibilities and child protection legislation.
- Hold a current NSW Working With Children Check.
- Hold current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or is willing to obtain).
- Has excellent communication skills and values respectful partnerships with children, families and colleagues.
- Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a reflective and supportive team.
- Has experience supporting children with diverse learning needs and abilities (highly desirable).
- Experience in a community base preschool/long daycare setting is desirable but not essential.
- Have a passion for early childhood education
- Understanding of children's right to have a voice, anti-bias and inclusive practices, sustainability and natural learning environments.
