Sales Team Leader

The Company

FirstClass.com.au is an award-winning luxury travel agency specializing in First & Business Class airfares, six-star cruising, and premium leisure travel.

We are a results-driven, tech-forward firm. While others rely on standard off-the-shelf software, we have an in-house IT lead and development team dedicated to building and refining our own proprietary tools, including a points-award flight engine and a custom hotel engine currently in development. We are continually iterating to improve technical efficiency, with AI integration on our immediate roadmap.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive “builder" who is driven by results and direct communication. We believe the best leaders stay “on the pulse" of the market; you will maintain a personal sales presence while focusing on lifting the performance and conversion of our experienced consultants.

Key Responsibilities

Set the Standard: Achieve strong personal sales results to lead the team by example.

Lifting Performance: Coach and mentor consultants to improve conversion, efficiency, and confidence.

Drive Momentum: Monitor targets and KPIs while maintaining a focused, respectful, and results-driven culture.

Industry Veteran: Minimum 3 years in travel (Retail or Corporate) with a deep understanding of First & Business Class products.
GDS Proficient: A solid working knowledge of Amadeus.

FirstClass.com.au is a specialist luxury agency. We are seeking a highly technical Airfare Specialist to handle our after-hours enquiries, emergency support, and airfare product maintenance.

The Roadmap to Remote: We prioritize high standards. This role follows a structured path to autonomy:

Initial Phase: Full-time training in our Sydney CBD office to master our systems and process.
Intermediate Phase: Transition to weekly/fortnightly office attendance once proficient.

Your Key Responsibilities

Provide high-level administrative support to the CEO and operations team
Support the sales team in servicing first and business class travellers
Assist marketing with client engagement and product promotion

Anticipate the CEO’s needs, prioritise effectively, and ensure smooth daily operations

2+ years travel consulting experience, ideally with airfares and premium cabins
Proficiency in Amadeus GDS

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated, well organized Accounts / Office Assistant to join our team. Working out of our Sydney CBD office, you will support our daily financial operations and work closely with our travel consulting team.

This is a fast-paced environment that requires someone who is naturally proactive, possesses great practical logic, and has a sharp eye for detail. While you will be fully trained in our specific travel systems, we require a solid foundational understanding of basic bookkeeping principles.

You will also be supporting the travel sales team with various tasks including website updates, office admin, dispatching travel documentatons to clients.

This role is not suitable for students.

Responsibilities

Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable
Entering and maintaining immaculate financial data
Preparing and issuing client invoices
Conducting bank reconciliations and supporting weekly financial reporting
Assisting with payroll processing
Coordinating with travel suppliers
Supporting consultants with travel-related financial requirements
General office administrative support including but not limited to organising travel documentation for clients, sales support, CRM updates, rosters, ordering office supplies.

Skills and Experience

1–2 years of practical experience in an office administration, accounts role is highly preferred.
Highly computer-savvy with the ability to grasp new software quickly
Flawless attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
High initiative, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently
Well-developed organisational and time management skills

We’re looking for a strong full stack developer with solid PHP, Next.js and data skills, who’s equally comfortable working in WordPress, Next.js and CodeIgniter when needed but brings much more to the table.

You’ll be responsible for ongoing maintenance and feature development across multiple websites, while also contributing to new startup projects from the ground up.

Technical Requirements

Strong PHP skills with solid experience in CodeIgniter

Hands-on experience with Node.js and REST APIs
Experienced with AWS, CI/CD pipelines and GitHub
