About the Role
Reporting to the Assistant Restaurant Manager, Brown Family Wine Group is seeking a passionate and experienced Front of House Supervisor to join the Arbour team at our Milawa site.
At the heart of our dining experience, you will play a key leadership role in creating memorable, engaging and personalised experiences for every guest. You will supervise and support the Front of House Arbour team, ensuring exceptional service standards and a seamless connection to the broader Milawa experience.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Arbour team as part of the next chapter of the Brown Brothers Milawa visitor experience. With redevelopment works underway across our cellar door and restaurant precinct, The Arbour will become a new year-round outdoor dining destination, offering guests a unique space for casual dining, wine experiences, private functions and events.
As part of this new offering, you will play an important role in helping establish service standards, develop team capability and deliver exceptional guest experiences as we bring this exciting new space to life.
Working as part of our Arbour team, you will:
- Supervise, support and motivate the Front of House team to deliver exceptional customer service and memorable guest experiences.
- Set the benchmark for service standards, leadership and performance within the Arbour team.
- Support the Assistant Restaurant Manager and Executive Chef / Restaurant Manager with daily operations, service delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Create personalised guest experiences through strong product knowledge and an understanding of our food and wine offerings.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members through training, feedback and ongoing support.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding and performance management activities for Front of House team members.
- Ensure consistent implementation of hospitality systems, procedures and service standards.
- Maintain high standards of presentation, hygiene, efficiency and professionalism across Front of House operations.
- Support effective stock management processes and operational requirements.
- Manage guest feedback and complaints professionally, focusing on timely resolution and positive outcomes.

You bring energy, attention to detail and a genuine passion for hospitality, with the ability to inspire a team and create memorable experiences for every guest.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Proven leadership experience within a hospitality environment, with the ability to coach, develop and motivate a team.
- Experience supervising Front of House operations, including rostering, training and team coordination.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- A friendly, approachable personality with a genuine passion for engaging with guests.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Competence with Microsoft Office and hospitality-related systems.
- Enthusiasm for wine, including knowledge of wine styles and pairings.
- Current RSA certification.
- A current driver's licence.
- Flexibility to work across a seven-day operating environment.
