Dietitian – Women’s Health and Paediatric Focus

About the Position

We are seeking an Accredited Practising Dietitian to join our team in a part-time employed role, working approximately two to three days per week, with the potential to transition into a full-time position.

The role will primarily support our clinics in:

Blackburn
Lilydale
Dandenong

The successful candidate may also provide telehealth consultations and occasional community or home visits across Melbourne’s eastern and south-eastern suburbs.

We are particularly interested in candidates with a genuine interest, clinical experience or further professional development in women’s health and paediatric nutrition.

Preferred women’s health areas include:

Fertility and preconception nutrition
Pregnancy nutrition
Polycystic ovary syndrome
Endometriosis
Perimenopause and menopause

The position will also involve supporting paediatric clients and families across a range of nutrition concerns.

In addition to these areas, the dietitian will manage a varied caseload that includes chronic disease management, weight management and general nutrition care.

The successful candidate will be supported to further develop their clinical interests and areas of specialisation as part of their professional growth at NutriBlooms.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and personalised consultations
Develop tailored, evidence-based nutrition intervention plans
Support clients across women’s health, paediatrics and chronic disease management
Provide clinic-based, telehealth and occasional home or community consultations
Perform InBody body-composition assessments, with training provided
Prepare clinical reports and communicate with GPs, specialists and allied health professionals
Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Build strong relationships with clients, families, carers and support networks
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Contribute to a compassionate, inclusive and empowering client experience
Support the continued growth of NutriBlooms’ referral and professional networks

Skills and ExperienceEssential

Current Accredited Practising Dietitian status
Current professional indemnity and public liability insurance
Current Working with Children Check
Current Victorian driver licence and access to reliable transport
Strong clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence communicating with GPs and other healthcare professionals
A compassionate, client-centred approach to care

Preferred

One to two years of experience in private practice, community health or a hospital setting
Further training, professional development or clinical experience in women’s health
Interest or experience in fertility, pregnancy, PCOS, endometriosis, perimenopause or menopause nutrition
Interest, experience or further training in paediatric nutrition
Confidence managing chronic disease presentations
Motivation to develop referral relationships and contribute to practice growth
Passion for working within a community-based setting

Newer graduates with relevant training, strong clinical foundations and a genuine interest in women’s health and paediatrics are also encouraged to apply.
