Warehouse Assistant | Lifeline

Employment Term: Permanent Part Time

Location: Kunda Park

Remuneration: $28.32 p/hr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

As a Warehouse Assistant, you’ll be encouraged to grow, develop and feel empowered, contributing to the meaningful work of Queensland’s leading charity retail brand. Our Distribution Centres across Queensland provide our 120 retail stores with quality donated goods, giving pre-loved items a second life and bringing in profit to support our Crisis Support Line and suicide prevention services.

Your part in our Lifeline team

Working out of our Kunda Park Distribution Centre, you will:

Operate baling machine to support export production and facilitate the storage of goods

Manually move crates/items to ensure that the process line has a continual supply of stock for production

Assist with loading and unloading of trucks and containers

Pack rags to operational standards in preparation for dispatch

Maintain work stations and storage areas in a clean and tidy manner

Ensure equipment is maintained in a fully operational condition and report any maintenance or safety issues to relevant supervisor

Ensure all paperwork relative to your role is recorded accurately and on a daily basis

Important:

The inherent requirements of this role are physically demanding you will need to be physically fit with the capability to complete tasks that require regular lifting, standing and walking.

Availability Monday - Friday

Forklift licence
Prior experience working in a Warehouse environment

Passion for the Lifeline brand and ability to articulate its purpose

Ownership of work outcomes for self and team

Ability to comply with all safe work practices for procedures and equipment relating to this position
