About the role

We are looking for an experienced Insurance Broker to manage a dedicated Mining portfolio while collaborating with Account Managers across a range of complex accounts.

In this role, you’ll be a trusted advisor to your clients, delivering tailored risk solutions and negotiating effectively within the market to achieve strong outcomes.

A Day in the Life

Manage and develop relationships with Mining clients
Ownership of a client portfolio (renewals & support) with the Account Manager
Assess risk and design tailored insurance solutions
Negotiate with insurers to achieve optimal outcomes
Build strong partnerships with underwriters
Provide input on portfolio budgets and business plans and assist the team in tracking its progress towards goals
Support new business growth through pipeline development

Skills and experience

At least 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within the Mining sector but not essential
Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification
Strong account management with attention to detail
Clear, professional, and confident with stakeholders
Practical & service-first approach to getting deals done
Proactive, helpful, and driven to hit team goals
Previous experience in a similar insurance or broking role is highly regarded
