Key Account Manager - Mining

As a Key Account Manager (Mining), you will develop and manage a portfolio of nominated mining owner accounts across Western Australia and, where applicable, nationally. This position is pivotal to Victaulic's long-term mining sector growth strategy and requires a self-motivated professional who is adept at building trust, influencing specification, and creating a structured, fundable project pipeline.
Build and maintain a deep understanding of each account's organizational structure, decision-making hierarchy, capital expenditure cycles, and strategic priorities.
Develop and execute tailored key account plans that align Victaulic solutions with each owner's operational and financial goals.
Proactively identify, qualify, and register new project opportunities across brownfield expansions, greenfield developments, maintenance capital programmes, and plant upgrades.
Drive conversion of existing weld-to-weld and flange-to-flange pipe joining specifications to Victaulic grooved mechanical joining systems using Victaulic master specifications and technical documentation.
Deliver a solution-based, value-led selling approach that addresses both technical and commercial objections at the engineering, procurement, and contractor level.
Develop and present compelling CAPEX and OPEX business cases, demonstrating total installed cost reductions, schedule compression, reduced hot work requirements, and long-term maintenance savings.
Represent Victaulic at industry events, site visits, technical presentations, and executive briefings, positioning Victaulic as the preferred piping system partner for the mining sector.
Contribute insights to product development, specification strategy, and market entry planning for the mining vertical
Proven experience in a senior business development, key account management, or strategic sales roles, with a strong track record of success in complex B2B industrial environments.
Established network of contacts within the Western Australian mining sector - specifically owners.
Deep working knowledge of mining process systems, plant infrastructure, and piping design — including process, utility, slurry, tailings, water services, and fire protection pipework.
Strong commercial acumen with experience building and presenting CAPEX/OPEX business cases, and total cost of ownership analyses.
A valid Australian Driver’s license and willing to travel as required.
Demonstrated ability to operate across all levels of a mining owner organisation — from engineering and maintenance through to asset management and executive leadership.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
