Medical Receptionist – General Practice

Schotters Road Medical Centre | Mernda, VIC

Schotters Road Medical Centre is seeking an experienced, friendly and professional Medical Receptionist to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome patients and provide excellent customer service
Manage appointments, phone calls and patient enquiries
Process Medicare billing and patient payments
Maintain accurate patient records and details
Manage correspondence, referrals and documentation
Support GPs, nurses and allied health professionals
Assist with recalls, reminders and patient follow-ups
Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
Support smooth day-to-day practice operations

Essential Requirements

Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in general practice or medical reception
Good understanding of Medicare billing and commonly used MBS billing codes
Strong communication and customer service skills
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Professional, reliable and well presented
Ability to multitask effectively in a busy general practice
Strong team player with a positive attitude

Experience with Best Practice and HotDoc will be highly regarded.
