Grocery Team Member - Full Time

Hill Street Grocer | Sandy Bay

Join our beautiful Sandy Bay store as a full-time Grocery Team Member and be part of a supportive, passionate team.

If you have previous experience in retail, supermarkets, or stock organisation, or simply enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, we’d love to hear from you!

As a Grocery Team Member, you’ll play an important role in ensuring our store looks its best at all times. You’ll help keep our aisles well-stocked, neat, tidy, and organised, assist customers with friendly and attentive service, and work closely with your team to receive and manage stock deliveries.

What you'll do:

Maintaining well-presented, fully stocked grocery aisles
Providing warm, welcoming and helpful customer service
Receiving, unpacking and organising stock deliveries
Working collaboratively with your team to support daily store operations
Following food safety, workplace health and safety, and company procedures

What you'll bring:

A friendly attitude and strong communication skills
A love of working with food and people (both customers and colleagues)
Energy, initiative, and a willingness to take direction
The ability to follow procedures, particularly around food handling and WHS
Physical fitness for lifting and standing throughout the day
Ongoing daytime availability, including every second weekend (your standard roster will be agreed based on your availability and our operational requirements)

Pay rates are set by the General Retail Industry Award. The 2026 - 2027 base hourly pay rates for level 1 adults are:

Full time

Weekdays $27.81
Saturday $34.76
Sunday $41.72

Additional penalty rates may apply to weekends and public holidays and some overtime and early morning shifts. (Casual employees also receive a casual loading, increasing their base pay rate).
