Accounts Receivable Officer

Location: Wetherill Park, NSW
Employment Type: Full-Time

About Us

Australian Lifting Centre is one of Australia's leading suppliers of lifting, rigging, height safety and materials handling equipment. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service, quality products, and efficient operations across our national branch network.

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Head Office team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the accounts receivable function, ensuring customer accounts are maintained accurately and payments are collected in a timely manner.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, proactive, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process and allocate customer payments.
Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
Follow up overdue accounts by phone and email.
Prepare and issue customer statements.
Maintain accurate customer account records.
Process credit applications and perform credit checks.
Monitor customer credit limits and recommend account actions where required.
Liaise with customers and internal staff to resolve account queries.
Assist with month-end accounts receivable procedures.
Prepare reports on outstanding debt and debtor ageing.
Support the finance team with general administrative duties as required.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable or similar finance role.
Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience using accounting/ERP software (Pronto experience highly regarded but not essential).
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
