Salary - $70,000–$80,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience
Reports to - Compliance Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an organised and detail-focused Quality & Compliance Assistant to support our team in maintaining high standards of quality, safety, compliance and continuous improvement across our NDIS and home care services. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with HR, Rostering, Operations and service delivery teams to support regulatory compliance and organisational quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with internal audits, compliance reviews and preparation for external audits.
Maintain audit schedules, compliance registers, evidence files and document-control systems.
Support incident, complaint and feedback recording, reporting, investigation and follow-up processes.
Monitor corrective actions and follow up outstanding compliance requirements with relevant managers.
Assist with organisational risk-management and continuous-improvement activities.
Support the implementation, review and monitoring of policies, procedures, forms and compliance systems.
Monitor employee compliance records, mandatory training, screening clearances and document expiry dates.
Assist with the preparation of quality and compliance reports and performance data.
Support compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards, NDIS Code of Conduct, incident-management requirements and other relevant legislation.
Assist the organisation in meeting applicable Aged Care Quality Standards and Support at Home requirements.
Liaise with HR, Rostering, Operations and service delivery teams to promote compliance and quality practices.
Maintain the confidentiality and security of participant, employee and organisational information.

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in quality, compliance or administration within the NDIS, aged care, home care, healthcare or community-services sector is preferred.
Understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and relevant quality and safeguarding requirements.
Experience supporting internal audits, incident management, complaints, document control or continuous-improvement activities.
Strong organisational, analytical and time-management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.
Strong computer and administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Desirable Qualifications

Qualification in nursing, community services, healthcare administration, quality management, auditing, risk management or a related field.
Nursing background or other relevant healthcare experience.
Internal auditing or quality-management training.
Experience supporting NDIS or aged-care audits and accreditation processes.

Employment Requirements

The successful candidate must hold or be willing and eligible to obtain:

Australian working rights.
A current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, where applicable to the role.
A satisfactory National Police Check and any applicable aged-care worker screening clearance.
A Working with Children Check, if required for the duties performed.
A current Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle where work-related travel is required.
Satisfactory professional reference checks.
