About Greenhouse Medical Practice Coolalinga (Greenhouse Medical Pty Ltd)

We are a General Practice providing day-to-day medical care needs of our community. Our services include GP consultation for any medical condition, provision of minor surgical procedures, management of complex and chronic medical conditions, preventative health advice and management, immunization, and specialist referral, when necessary, among others. We strive to provide comprehensive health care.

Qualification and prerequisites:

- MBBS or equivalent

- Registrable with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) by way of completion of AMC Part 1 and Part 2 examination or exemption from it (preferable but not mandatory)

- Minimum of 2 years of work experience

- Adequate English proficiency (as evidenced by OET, PTE or other recognized tests by AHPRA for the purpose of medical registration)

- Pre-Employment Structured Clinical Interview (PESCI) for General Practice placement completed successfully

- Australian permanent residency or citizenship (preferred)

Note: It is essential that interested candidates both fulfill and clearly state their eligibility in terms of completion of PESCI, AMC examinations and relevant English proficiency certificate and have their certificates as evidence, should we request it. Any application that does not contain clear information to these specific criteria will automatically be disqualified. Evidence of these is not required to be provided at the time of expression of interest in the job but should be immediately available if we ask.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

· The Doctor will work as a trainee General Practitioner under supervision of a nominated Supervisor or Supervisors as approved by AHPRA.

· The job will involve working from a General Practice base with some nursing home and on occasion home visit commitment from Monday to Friday and some Saturdays and Sundays taking a turn with other doctors within the practice, the actual hours and days of work are negotiable and subject to business’s need.

· The Doctor with conduct history taking and examinations and when necessary, undertake investigations to assist in diagnosing patient’s medical condition and its treatment as necessary, including referral to allied health and/ or other medical specialists or hospital. The focus is on providing comprehensive care encompassing acute, ongoing as well as preventative care through advice and assistance with lifestyle modification and when necessary, medication and other forms of treatment. Job entails liaising with various health and other authorities e.g. Centre for Disease Control etc.

· The Doctor will be able to conduct consultations across all ages and sex, able to do (or willing to learn) some minor procedures, and attend unselected emergencies as expected in a General Practice with a public hospital emergency department not far from the facility.

· The Doctor will work in a team environment that includes other General Practitioners and Doctors in training, allied health professionals and administrative staff.

· The position may involve some teaching and research duties.

· The Doctor will have to be available for a full-time job.

Salary for the position: AUD 78,062.40 per annum (Level 2 Pay point 1 of Health Professional award of Fair Work Ombudsman -http://www.fwc.gov.au/documents/documents/modern_awards/pdf/MA000027.pdf.) plus superannuation per Fair Work Ombudsman guidelines, based on a 40 hours/ week of work, paid fortnightly.
