About the role:

We are currently seeking enthusiastic Allied Health Assistants to join our team on a casual basis. Candidate should be available to work across our weekday and weekend services.

As one of the largest private rehabilitation facilities in Australia, The Victorian Rehabilitation Centre has a reputation for high quality and patient-focused care, across a range of rehabilitation specialties, including orthopaedics, cardiac, reconditioning, neurology, trauma, and pain management. The centre offers a friendly and supportive staff environment, with our established multidisciplinary team servicing both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs.

At The Victorian Rehabilitation Centre, we recognise that we are only as good as our people, and this is why we seek to employ and retain highly skilled, compassionate and dedicated team members.

Key responsibilities:

Supporting members of the Allied Health team to provide a high standard of customer service and clinical care to patients/families
Working under the direction and supervision of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians and speech pathologists to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals

Essential Criteria:

Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance desirable
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, manage time effectively and complete activities
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with or providing care to people in a health care setting and/or demonstrate a basic understanding of therapy programs
