To deliver high-quality payment operations services by providing accurate, timely, and customer-focused support to staff and customers, ensuring the effective execution of payment processing functions, and maintaining strong relationships with third-party suppliers to support operational excellence and service delivery.

This opportunity is a 10- month secondment. Part-time, working 22 hours a week; we are flexible on how these hours can be worked, within our standard business hours. This role is located in Mascot or Traralgon, Victoria.

What you will be doing

Process payment operations activities accurately and efficiently, ensuring customer needs are met within agreed service levels and regulatory requirements.
Investigate and process Direct Entry, NPP and BPAY transactions, including payment investigations, repairs and dishonours.
Process inbound SWIFT and RTGS payments, supporting timely settlement and execution of customer and business transactions.
Manage card‑related services, including Visa and ATM disputes, card stock management and distribution.
Conduct international payment investigations and liaise with third‑party providers to resolve payment enquiries and exceptions.
Respond to customer, business and operational enquiries, providing accurate information and support.
Maintain operational reports, user access administration and investigation records to support compliance and risk management requirements.
Identify and contribute to process, system and service improvements that enhance operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
Complete all required training and ensure activities are performed in accordance with Bank Australia policies, procedures and service standards.
Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including Cuscal, Convera and Giesecke+Devrient, and perform additional duties as required.

Working knowledge of core banking systems is desirable, with a minimum Year 12 qualification (or equivalent) required.
