About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to support a large-scale, multi-year banking transformation program focused on modernising enterprise data platforms.
The program involves transitioning from a legacy analytics platform to strategic enterprise solutions. The successful candidate will coordinate Agile Release Train (ART) activities, manage cross-team dependencies, and ensure the successful sequencing of complex data migration and platform decommissioning activities.
This is a highly collaborative role requiring close engagement with business, technology, architecture, data, and delivery teams to ensure successful execution across multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities

Facilitate all Agile Release Train (ART) ceremonies, including PI Planning, ART Syncs, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.

Coordinate delivery across multiple Agile teams to ensure alignment with program objectives and delivery milestones.

Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, impediments, and escalations to maintain delivery momentum.

Oversee planning and execution of Program Increments (PIs), ensuring predictable and high-quality outcomes.

Support the sequencing of complex data migration activities, including data redirection and legacy platform decommissioning.

Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Architects, Engineering Leads, and Delivery Managers to align priorities and delivery schedules.

Monitor program progress using Agile metrics and reporting, providing regular updates to senior stakeholders.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance and Agile maturity.

Coordinate release planning and deployment activities across multiple technology teams.

Ensure delivery aligns with governance, risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements within a banking environment
Essential Skills & Experience
-
Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) or Senior Agile Delivery Lead within large enterprise environments.

Strong experience delivering complex transformation programs in Banking or Financial Services.

Hands-on experience coordinating multiple Agile teams within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

Experience managing large-scale data transformation, migration, or platform modernisation initiatives.

Strong understanding of enterprise data ecosystems and managing dependencies across multiple delivery streams.

Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage technical and business leaders.

Strong facilitation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Experience with Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, or cloud DevOps.
Desirable Experience

Experience supporting programs involving Financial Services Platforms

Exposure to legacy platform decommissioning or enterprise application modernisation.

Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, and release management practices.

SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification or SAFe Agilist certification.

Experience working within highly regulated financial services environments.
