Full Job Description

Join a global leader in mining, construction, earthmoving and material handling equipment and become part of a collaborative Finance team that plays a vital role in keeping our business moving. As an Accounts Payable Officer, you'll take ownership of end-to-end accounts payable activities, working with suppliers and internal stakeholders across Australia to ensure accurate invoice processing, timely payments, and exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

Process and manage supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding, purchase order matching, and timely entry into the finance system.

Deliver efficient end-to-end accounts payable services, supporting the accurate and on-time payment of suppliers across the business.

Prepare and coordinate weekly and monthly payment runs while maintaining accurate creditor records and account information.

Assist with month-end activities, including account reconciliations and ensuring financial records are complete and accurate.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance Accounts Payable performance.

Provide high-quality administrative support and collaborate with internal stakeholders, branch teams, and suppliers to resolve queries and maintain strong working relationships.

Skills & Experience:

Certificate III in Business Administration or Finance, or equivalent experience in a similar role.

Demonstrated experience in an Accounts Payable position, with strong knowledge of invoice processing, purchase order matching, and supplier account management.

Proven ability to accurately process high volumes of transactions while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and data integrity.

Experience preparing payment runs, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end financial processes in a busy environment.

Strong computer literacy, with confidence using ERP or accounting systems and intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.

Well-developed analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
