The Role
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead our fast-paced finance team in delivering high quality accurate and on time results that are considered best in class across the global organisation. With well established policies and procedures in place, this person can hit the ground running within a team that is passionate about doing things right, whilst bringing their own experience to the table to finesse and make improvements where needed.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance APAC, you will be responsible for reporting the group’s financial results to the Senior Finance Executives and US global HQ, as well as providing detailed analysis to assist in key business decisions. Working closely together with a team of over 30 finance professionals, having strong leadership skills is an absolute necessity with this role, enabling you to navigate the team through business change whilst also getting the monthly deliverables across the line. You will enjoy working in a complex, purpose led business that is passionately dedicated to making a positive impact to our vet customers and pet owners.

Your responsibilities will include –

People leadership across our core Financial Accounting team, ensuring that individual and team performance objectives are set and delivered.
Ensuring that employee performance and engagement is maximised through training, professional development and linkage to corporate objectives.
Oversee monthly consolidated financial reporting across our Asia Pacific business that includes entities across Australia, NZ, China and Hong Kong.
Financial reporting to senior finance team members and US Head Office on a monthly and ad hoc basis.
Ensuring compliance and adequate internal controls are in place, overseeing internal and external audits.

About You

Ideally you will display –

Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Commerce coupled with CA/CPA qualifications.
Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role and exposure to a complex, international business environment.
Advanced skills in MS Excel, reporting, variance analysis and providing business commentary to financial results.
Well developed interpersonal skills with an ability to adapt your communication to suit different internal stakeholders.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise your work in an agile way.
