In this role, you'll:
The primary purpose of this role is to deliver specialist railway projects and provide best practice survey advice and services to Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink to ensure the safety and reliability of clients' assets throughout the asset lifecycle.
The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Delivery of complex survey projects to budget and quality standards, within tight deadlines and to client satisfaction.
- Contribute to team success by following project plans and scheduling works for projects to ensure they are completed to time, cost, quality, and safety standards as well as satisfying client requirements.
- Ability to liaise with the Senior Surveyor /Project Manager and other discipline members of the project team on project specifications and requirements to establish a shared understanding of survey scope, budget, time constraints, success indicators, quality, environment, and safety standards, and perform survey tasks accordingly.
- Implement Quality Control procedures as they apply to Survey / Design and Service Delivery, including the review, verification, and validation of survey deliverables, and ensuring awareness of one’s responsibilities.

About you
- Tertiary qualification (Degree) in Surveying or equivalent Degree
- Registered Surveyor with the NSW Board of Surveying and Spatial Information (BOSSI)
- Demonstrated capability in the technical aspects of Survey work, including engineering, cadastral, monitoring, control and detail Surveys, and associated survey software.
- Demonstrated capability in delivering complex Survey projects to budget and quality standards, within tight deadlines and to client satisfaction, in a technology-driven environment.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of relevant software, including an understanding of CAD.
- Demonstrated experience in working in the railway environment (e.g., possessions, safety, programming, interfacing and staging) and understanding of the Survey requirements of other rail disciplines.
This is an on-site in-person role, based at Sutherland NSW. Opportunities to work from home are available, subject to task and workload.
