Sunny Dental Buderim is looking for a warm, organised and patient-focused Dental Receptionist to join our growing team.

We are a caring dental practice under new ownership, with an exciting period of renewal and rejuvenation ahead. Our goal is to build a supportive, stable and positive workplace where each team member feels valued, confident and well supported in their role.

This position would suit someone who enjoys creating a calm and welcoming experience for patients, has strong communication skills, and takes pride in keeping the front desk running smoothly.

About the role

As our Dental Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for many of our patients. You will help create a friendly, professional and organised experience from the moment patients contact the practice through to the end of their visit.

Your duties may include:

Welcoming patients and assisting with enquiries
Answering phone calls and managing appointment bookings
Maintaining the appointment book and supporting patient flow
Processing payments and health fund claims
Communicating clearly with patients about appointments and general information
Supporting the clinical team with smooth day-to-day scheduling
Maintaining accurate patient records
Helping create a calm, caring and professional front desk environment

We are not looking for someone who has to do everything in the practice. We value people becoming excellent in their own role, rather than being stretched across every area. While teamwork is important, your primary focus will be reception and patient coordination.

You will also be supported by a dedicated Practice Manager who understands the daily running of a dental practice. This is not a dentist/manager hybrid situation — you will have real operational support from someone focused on practice management, systems and staff support.

This helps our clinicians provide treatment properly, gives patients time to feel heard and cared for, and reduces the pressure that comes from rushed appointment books. We pride ourselves on aiming to run on time and creating a calmer, more organised day for both patients and staff.

Our approach is simple: quality care, thoughtful scheduling and a team environment that does not rely on rushing people through.
