Details: The Emergency Services Agency Training (ESAT) team provide strategic advice on the whole of agency learning and development needs. ESAT is responsible for development, provision and maintenance of learning and development initiatives to support and enable staff and volunteers to carry out their duties safely, efficiently, and effectively.
The Assistant Director, Instructional Design and Program Development reports to the Senior Director, ESA Training. This role is responsible for leading the design and development of digital training solutions and the management of the ESA Learning Management system.
To be successful in this role, you will require experience designing and developing online learning resources using eLearning authoring tools, strong expertise in the management of Learning Management Systems and have demonstrated experience building and maintaining stakeholder relationships.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is highly desirable.
- Experience using eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360 Storyline software is highly desirable.

Diploma of Training Design and Development is desirable.

Drivers Licence Class C is essential.
Notes: This is a temporary position available from the 31 August 2026 for a period of up to 12 months. Part-time hours will be considered, and the salary noted above will be paid pro-rata. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
