Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Tester – Financial Crime with 6–8 years of experience in software testing and strong domain knowledge of the Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance (BFSI) sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing testing activities for Financial Crime, AML, KYC, compliance, fraud, transaction monitoring, and regulatory initiatives. The role will involve working closely with Business Analysts, Financial Crime SMEs, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in functional testing, system integration testing, regression testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) within a BFSI environment, with a good understanding of Financial Crime processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for Financial Crime initiatives.
- Perform functional, system integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate business and system requirements related to Financial Crime and regulatory compliance.
- Test solutions supporting AML, KYC, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, fraud detection, and financial crime risk management.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, developers, compliance teams, and Financial Crime SMEs to understand requirements and testing needs.
- Identify, document, track, and manage defects through to resolution.
- Perform defect analysis and collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Support test data preparation and validation for Financial Crime testing scenarios.
- Participate in test planning, estimation, execution, and reporting.
- Support UAT activities and coordinate with business stakeholders to validate solutions.
- Ensure traceability between business requirements, test scenarios, test cases, and test results.
- Prepare test execution reports and provide regular testing status updates.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, standards, and methodologies.
- Ensure testing activities align with project timelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6–8 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
- Mandatory experience within BFSI – Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance.
- Proven experience testing Financial Crime, AML, KYC, Compliance, Fraud, Risk, or Regulatory solutions.
- Strong understanding of Financial Crime processes and related business workflows.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Functional Testing
- System Integration Testing (SIT)
- Regression Testing
- End-to-End Testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Integration Testing
- Experience creating and executing detailed test cases and test scenarios.
- Strong defect management and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with business, compliance, technology, and delivery teams.
Desirable Skills
- Experience testing AML and Financial Crime transformation programs.
- Experience with transaction monitoring and sanctions screening solutions.
- Exposure to Financial Crime technology platforms or case management systems.
- Experience with SQL and database testing.
- Experience with API testing and integration testing.
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence, ALM, or similar.
- Exposure to automation testing tools would be advantageous.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a QA/Test Analyst with 6–8 years of experience, strong BFSI domain expertise, and proven experience testing Financial Crime or regulatory compliance solutions. The candidate should have strong analytical skills and be comfortable working with business, compliance, and technology stakeholders in a complex financial services environment.

Pay: $530.00 – $550.00 per day
