Job Title: Data Solutions Architect - Azure Analytics
Location: Australia (remote)
We are seeking an experienced Analytics Data Architect (Baseline/NV1/2 Cleared) to join our growing Microsoft Azure practice, operating in a cloud migration factory — working on high-impact data transformation programs across Government and Defence
Positional Overview -
- Design and implement end-to-end Azure data architecture solutions, covering ingestion, storage, processing, and analytics
- Develop and maintain Azure Data Architecture frameworks aligned with enterprise standards, governance, and security policies
- Leverage key Azure services such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Data Explorer, Cosmos DB, and Azure SQL Database
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Synapse, including metadata ingestion and CI/CD automation
- Provide architectural oversight across data integration, modeling, and analytics pipelines, ensuring best practices in performance, cost, and compliance
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to create data tools, ensuring efficient access to clean, structured data
- Implement data security, privacy protection, and governance controls within all Azure environments
- Create technical architecture documents, diagrams, and implementation roadmaps
- Drive continuous improvement using Microsoft Well-Architected Framework (WAF) and Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) methodologies
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Cloud Analytics
- Proven expertise with Microsoft Azure analytics stack (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Data Lake, Fabric, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL)
- Strong background in data modeling, ETL design, and data warehousing.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Cosmos DB
- Solid understanding of enterprise-scale cloud design, migration strategies, and technology governance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — able to translate complex technical concepts into business value
