The Opportunity
We are seeking an Administration Assistant to join our Commercial team in Sydney on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive professional to work closely with lawyers and partners across a range of commercial matters. You will play a critical role in supporting the progression of matters, managing key deadlines and helping to deliver exceptional client service.

Working within a supportive and collaborative team, you will gain valuable exposure to litigation matters while developing your legal support skills and building a rewarding career within a national law firm.

Your Role

Prepare legal documents, correspondence and court materials.
Coordinate briefs to Counsel and other matter related documentation.
Support lawyers in the progression of trade credit and insolvency matters.
Manage court deadlines, diaries and key dates.
Prepare and process billing and other financial administration tasks.
Open, maintain and close files in accordance with firm procedures.
Manage incoming calls, correspondence and stakeholder enquiries.
Maintain accurate electronic filing systems and matter records.
Provide administrative and practice support to lawyers and the wider team.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Experience in a legal or administrative support role.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast paced environment.
A proactive, responsive and team focused approach.
Strong time management skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Desirable

Experience within a legal or professional services environment.
Exposure to billing processes and legal practice management systems.
Familiarity with court documentation and litigation processes.
Experience supporting insurance, workers compensation or litigation teams.
