We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Lead (2IC) to support our Nursing team within UFS Medical.
In this newly created role, you will provide operational leadership, and people support across our nursing team. Acting as the second-in-charge, you will work closely with the Nurse Manager to promote consistent clinical practice, support quality patient care and contribute to a positive, engaged and high-performing team culture. You will be responsible for managing direct reports, including conducting coaching conversations and performance reviews, timesheet approvals and workforce administration activities. You will also play an important role in supporting clinical governance, quality improvement and accreditation requirements.
To succeed in this role, you will be a Registered Nurse (with current AHPRA registration, professional indemnity cover) and substantial experience in primary healthcare or general practice. You will also bring:
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and supporting team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance, clinical governance, accreditation and quality improvement processes.
- Sound understanding of infection control, patient confidentiality and professional nursing standards.

This is a full-time position however part-time applications will be considered. This role has a dedicated 0.2 FTE allocation for leadership responsibilities, with the remainder of contracted hours spent undertaking general practice nursing duties working across our 4 medical sites.
