Work Location: Perth Office - Fortescue's Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: Monday to Friday

The Integration Engineer is responsible for the successful deployment, integration and support of software developed by internal and external teams. Working closely with the Technical Lead – Integration, this role delivers integration activities across SIL, HIL and site environments, supports issue triage and resolution, prepares integration builds and environments, and contributes to high-quality software releases that meet Verification exit criteria. This is a site-based role operating on an 8/6 roster.

Qualifications and Experience

Execute assigned software integration activities across SIL, HIL and operational site environments.
Prepare integration builds, environments and configurations, including branch management, dependency alignment and test data.
Triage, investigate and resolve integration issues by gathering logs, analysing evidence and raising well-defined defects.
Develop and maintain smoke and shakedown tests to improve integration quality and repeatability.
Document integration processes, configurations, known limitations and test outcomes to support Verification exit criteria.
Communicate integration progress, risks and blockers with Perth and site-based stakeholders.
Support development and Verification teams by reproducing issues, validating fixes and sharing technical evidence.
Contribute to integration automation, reusable testing and continuous improvement of environment reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Demonstrated experience in software engineering, ideally with 3+ years in a similar role.
Experience integrating software within SIL and/or HIL environments.
Strong knowledge of C++ and C# development.
Experience using Git, CI/CD pipelines and issue tracking tools.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash or PowerShell for automation tasks.
Strong troubleshooting, debugging and root cause analysis skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and solve complex technical problems in fast-paced environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
