Your Impact:
As a full time Site Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the CDS site and ensuring the efficient collection, counting, and sorting of eligible containers. The role involves mentoring and supervising the Processing Assistants, maintaining accurate data records, maximizing customer service, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Additionally, the CDS Supervisor will be involved in various administrative tasks and provide support to the General Manager.
Please note that the shift would be from:
Week 1 - Monday (7.45am - 4.15pm), Tuesday to Friday (8.00am - 4.15pm), and
Week 2 - Tuesday to Friday (8.00am - 4.15pm), Saturday (8.00am - 1.00pm)
Total work hours per fortnight: 75 hours
What you'll do:
Supervise and Mentor Factory Assistants:
- Provide on-site supervision to Processing Assistants, ensuring high levels of customer service and customer retention.
- Mentor and develop Processing Assistants to enhance their performance and productivity.
- Support staff members to foster a highly effective team aligned with the objectives of Good Sammy.
Container Collection and Sorting:
- Supervise the collection, counting, and sorting of eligible containers by material type.
- Ensure accurate data recording and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Sort containers into the designated collection infrastructure.
Customer Service and Refunds:
- Ensure all customers receive the correct refund amount for their eligible containers.
- Record transactions accurately in the WARRRL POS.
- Address customer complaints and provide excellent customer service.
Operational Support and Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to increase container volumes and improve customer service.
- Make recommendations to the Manager for potential operational improvements.
- Report any safety, production, or equipment maintenance issues to the General Manager.
Administrative Tasks:
- Participate in meetings with the Manager as required.
- Participate in training sessions and programs recommended by the Manager.
- Complete assigned projects and tasks as requested.
- Maintain rosters, approve timesheets and leave requests with Manager Approval.
Security and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with established safety standards, including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Disarm and arm the warehouse alarm system when necessary.
- Ensure proper closing procedures, including securing bollards, gates, and fire doors.
Financial and Reporting Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily reconciliation reports from all POS systems.
- Handle ATM-related tasks, including checking balances, top-ups, and clearances.
- Count and manage money under the guidance of the Manager, including safe, till, and ATM.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Identify Print, scan, and file POS and ATM reports.
- Maintain accurate data entry in various spreadsheets and trackers.
Team Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate team lunch breaks and organize work schedules.
Forklift Operations and Housekeeping:
- Safely operate a forklift for glass, cage stacking, and stock and waste bin movement.
- Ensure warehouse housekeeping standards are maintained.

- Hold a valid Western Australia driver’s license, as driving a company vehicle or truck may be required.
- Knowledge of financial transactions and cash handling.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Consent to take part in the Audiometric testing organised by Good Sammy for the role.
- Hold a valid forklift license.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain positive customer (internal and external) relations.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Able to plan and execute work to meet deadlines.
