About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategy & Architecture, the role is responsible for supporting the planning, delivery, implementation and ongoing optimisation of cloud platforms, environments and DevOps practices across ST Vic. The role contributes to secure, reliable and scalable technology services that support operational priorities, digital initiatives and broader transformation outcomes.
The responsibilities of the Cloud & DevOps Engineer will include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the design, implementation, administration and continuous improvement of cloud platforms, environments and DevOps practices
- Managing cloud environments, deployment processes and operational readiness across development, test and production environments
- Overseeing automation, integration and environment management practices to improve consistency, efficiency, resilience and quality
- Leading the identification, investigation and resolution of complex technical issues, risks and incidents
- Ensuring cloud security, monitoring, access controls, backup and recovery processes are implemented and maintained
- Providing expert technical advice to business stakeholders, project teams and technical specialists
- Managing technical documentation, configuration records and operational procedures
- Supporting the delivery of transformation initiatives and other technology priorities

About You
You are a collaborative and technically capable cloud professional who enjoys solving complex problems and improving platforms, environments and delivery practices. You bring sound judgement, strong stakeholder skills and a proactive approach to delivering secure, reliable and scalable technology outcomes.
You will bring:
- Experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, platform operations or infrastructure delivery
- Experience with cloud platforms, environments and deployment processes
- Experience in managing and working with AWS services & environments
- Experience in automation, integration and environment management
- Understanding of cloud security, monitoring, backup and recovery
- Ability to provide technical advice and work across teams
- Ability to maintain clear technical and operational documentation
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
- Focus on reliability, scalability and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline is desirable
- Relevant AWS, cloud platform, DevOps and/or Microsoft certifications are mandatory.
- Equivalent professional experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, platform operations or infrastructure delivery will be considered
