We're looking for a hands on Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing Technology team based in Melbourne. Reporting to the Technology Operations Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting and improving Icon Group's infrastructure, cloud platforms, networking and security environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to join at a time of significant transformation. You'll work closely with the Technology Operations Manager and wider business to improve day to day operations while delivering strategic technology initiatives that strengthen the business and enhance our technology capability.
About the Role
This is a broad, hands on role where you'll balance operational support with project delivery and continuous improvement. You'll be responsible for maintaining a secure, reliable and high performing technology environment while helping deliver key infrastructure and security initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing Level 2 and Level 3 infrastructure support across the business.
- Supporting and administering Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure Entra and Intune.
- Assisting improving our cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments.
- Supporting networking infrastructure including firewalls, wireless networks and connectivity.
- Working on security initiatives to align to Essential Eight, ISO 27001 and CMMC frameworks, including endpoint security and vulnerability management.
- Delivering infrastructure improvements, automation and platform modernisation projects.
- Working closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to continuously improve operational processes and technology services.
Current Projects
You'll have the opportunity to contribute to a range of business critical initiatives including:
- Supporting the implementation of Essential Eight security framework.
- Modernising our cloud environment and driving best practice.
- Improving network architecture moving to SASE and Zero Trust.
- Enhancing operational processes and standardising infrastructure across the business.
- Supporting the ongoing transition to modern endpoint management through Microsoft Intune.
About You
We're looking for someone with strong technical foundations who enjoys solving problems and improving the way technology operates. You may already be working as an Infrastructure Engineer or be an experienced Systems Administrator ready to take the next step.
You'll bring:
- Strong experience across the Microsoft technology stack including Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory and Azure.
- Experience with systems administration in enterprise environments.
- Networking knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot firewalls, networking and wireless infrastructure.
- Experience supporting cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Exposure to infrastructure security, patching, endpoint management and security best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships across technical and non technical teams.
Experience within construction or project based businesses is highly regarded, however we welcome candidates from a range of enterprise environments.
