Role Overview
We are looking for a Business Analyst to work with automotive and financial services clients, supporting regulatory change, business analysis, and project delivery activities. The role is initially being offered on a fixed-term or contractor basis, with potential for longer-term opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Author and maintain policies, procedures, process maps, and operational documentation to support regulatory licensing submissions and business initiatives.
- Gather, analyse, and document business, operational, and regulatory requirements for internal stakeholders, vendors, and regulators.
- Prepare high-quality client deliverables, including presentations, pitch decks, executive briefing packs, and Board-ready materials.
- Engage with stakeholders across compliance, product, operations, and other business functions.
- Coordinate inputs from specialist external advisors, translating technical information into clear and actionable business documentation.
- Support the delivery of regulatory and business initiatives by tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, and approval requirements.
- Contribute to business case development, commercial assessments, and organisational analysis.
- Manage individual workstreams with a high degree of autonomy, proactively prioritising deliverables and escalating risks, issues, and blockers as required.
Essential skills and experience
- 5-7 years' experience in a business analyst, management consulting, regulatory change or similar project delivery role.
- Experience within financial services, ideally consumer lending, asset finance or other regulated financial services environments.
- Demonstrated experience gathering, analysing and documenting business, operational and regulatory requirements.
- Experience developing policies, procedures and process documentation in a regulated environment.
- Sound understanding of credit licensing frameworks and regulatory obligations (NCCP or ASIC), or similar regulatory regimes.
- Experience working within product, compliance, risk, or regulatory functions, with an understanding of product governance, licensing, and regulatory change processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior business leaders, technical specialists, and external stakeholders.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills and experience producing executive and Board-level presentations.
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced, evolving project environments, managing competing priorities with minimal day-to-day supervision.
- Prior experience in the automotive industry, OEM, captive finance, or dealer finance environment preferred.
Desired skills and experience
- Mandarin language proficiency (spoken and written), would be highly regarded to support engagement with international stakeholder groups.
- Experience supporting licensing submissions.
- Experience working with legal and tax advisors.
