About The Role
Working in our Enterprise Data team, you will be responsible for designing, building and supporting scalable data platforms and infrastructure that deliver trusted data and insights across the organisation. You'll partner with technical and business stakeholders to develop modern data solutions while ensuring our platforms remain secure, reliable and fit for future growth.
Key responsibilities:

Design, develop and maintain enterprise-scale data pipelines and ELT/ETL solutions.

Build and optimise data platforms to ensure reliability, scalability and performance.

Partner with business stakeholders, analysts and AI teams to deliver data and analytics solutions.

Implement and maintain data governance, security and quality frameworks across data assets.
-
Drive continuous improvement of data engineering standards, tools and practices.

Manage and support on-premises Kubernetes environments, including upgrades, migrations and ongoing optimisation.

Administer supporting infrastructure including Windows Server environments, Power BI Gateway and related services.

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to support continuous delivery.

Create automation solutions using Bash/shell scripting and infrastructure tooling.

Contribute to cloud, integration and modern architecture initiatives including event-driven and microservices-based solutions.
About You
Our ideal candidate is a senior data engineering professional with strong technical expertise and experience delivering enterprise-scale data solutions. You'll be comfortable working across data platforms, infrastructure and stakeholder groups to solve complex challenges and deliver reliable outcomes.
You’ll ideally bring:

10+ years' experience in senior data engineering roles.

Advanced SQL and Python skills, with working knowledge of JSON and YAML.

Experience delivering enterprise-scale data platforms and analytics solutions, including data warehousing, streaming and AI/ML use cases.

Strong understanding of dimensional data modelling, data governance and data quality practices.
-
Experience with Snowflake, Informatica, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Azure Data Services, Neo4j, SAP or similar enterprise technologies.

Knowledge of modern architectures, including microservices, infrastructure-as-code, Medallion and event-driven patterns.

Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes environments, including platform upgrades and migrations.

Experience with DevOps practices, automation and scripting, including Bash/shell scripting and Windows Server environments
