About the Role:

Part-time position – Monday to Friday, 10:00am–4:00pm

Assist with basic food preparation, cooking and plating.
Follow food safety, hygiene and allergy requirements at all times.
Keep the kitchen, equipment and food preparation areas clean and organised.
Ensure meals are prepared in line with the centre’s menu and dietary requirements.
Maintain safe food storage and handling practices.
Assist with stock rotation and monitoring kitchen supplies.
Work closely with educators to ensure children’s individual dietary needs are met.
Support the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen.
Previous kitchen or childcare experience is preferred but not essential.
Must be reliable, organised and able to work well as part of a team.

What You'll Need:

Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred, but not essential
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate – desirable/required depending on your centre’s arrangements
Good understanding of food hygiene and safe food handling
Ability to follow recipes, menus and dietary requirements
Awareness of children’s allergies and food safety
Reliable, punctual and well organised
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good cleaning and hygiene standards
Working With Children Check (WWCC)
Current First Aid Certificate – desirable
Ability to work Monday to Friday, 10:00am–4:00pm consistently
