About the Role:

Part-time position – Monday to Friday, 10:00am–4:00pm
- Assist with basic food preparation, cooking and plating.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and allergy requirements at all times.
- Keep the kitchen, equipment and food preparation areas clean and organised.
- Ensure meals are prepared in line with the centre’s menu and dietary requirements.
- Maintain safe food storage and handling practices.
- Assist with stock rotation and monitoring kitchen supplies.
- Work closely with educators to ensure children’s individual dietary needs are met.
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Previous kitchen or childcare experience is preferred but not essential.
- Must be reliable, organised and able to work well as part of a team.

What You'll Need:

Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred, but not essential
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate – desirable/required depending on your centre’s arrangements
- Good understanding of food hygiene and safe food handling
- Ability to follow recipes, menus and dietary requirements
- Awareness of children’s allergies and food safety
- Reliable, punctual and well organised
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good cleaning and hygiene standards
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current First Aid Certificate – desirable
- Ability to work Monday to Friday, 10:00am–4:00pm consistently
