Senior Quality Analyst (AdviceTech)

Join our Testing Practice, and support a key long-term program of work!

FinXL Professional Services is a leading IT consultancy that partners with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technology capabilities. Since 2003, we've been delivering high-value ICT services across government, finance, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors.

FinXL is seeking a Senior Quality Analyst to join our consulting team and be deployed on a 6+ months contract with a leading Finance client with offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Hobart.

This role focuses on driving quality across critical wealth management applications through end-to-end testing execution and strategic automation. You will serve as a key quality advocate, ensuring software user-friendliness, streamlining testing strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize product delivery. Advice Technology, manual testing and e2e testing.

Responsibilities

Manage and execute end-to-end user acceptance and production testing, compiling detailed summary reports.
Identify and implement test automation solutions to enhance efficiency and software delivery quality.
Maintain comprehensive documentation, defect workarounds, and functional gap analyses.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design innovative strategies that streamline advice delivery.
Analyze and prioritize incoming product feedback and backlog items based on risk and capacity.
Recommend and drive product enhancements that closely align with core business objectives.

Key Skills & Experience

Strong background in manual software testing methodologies and execution practices.
Hands-on expertise using Jira, Confluence, and the Microsoft Office suite.
Deep functional understanding of financial advice processes and technology platforms.
Proven capability to drive outcomes independently or collaborate within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across technical and business stakeholders.
Desirable experience utilizing automated testing tools such as Playwright and QTest.

Engagement Details

6+ months contract with a Finance client.
Hybrid working model with 2 days/week in the office in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth or Hobart.
