The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack .NET Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team.
This is a hands-on role focused on enhancing and supporting enterprise-grade Microsoft applications, modernising existing platforms, developing new capabilities, and owning key Azure services that underpin business-critical solutions. You will work across the full technology stack, from front-end development through to backend APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and production support.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise across C#, .NET, Azure, SQL Server, API development, and modern engineering practices, along with a passion for continuous improvement and emerging AI-assisted software delivery capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support full-stack applications using C#, .NET, SQL Server, and modern frontend technologies.
- Build and maintain REST APIs, backend services, and enterprise integrations.
- Support, refactor, and modernise existing production .NET applications.
- Manage Azure services including App Services, Functions, API Management, and related cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code using Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Bicep.
- Apply modern architecture and engineering practices, including SOLID principles and secure coding standards.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to improve delivery efficiency and code quality.
- Troubleshoot production issues and support operational excellence initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver business outcomes.
- Contribute to technical leadership, mentoring, documentation, and continuous improvement activities.
What You'll Need
- Strong experience with C#, .NET Core/.NET 6+, ASP.NET Core, and SQL Server.
- Experience developing modern web applications using React, TypeScript, Angular, or similar technologies.
- Strong REST API development and enterprise application delivery experience.
- Hands-on experience with Azure services including App Services, Functions, and API Management (APIM).
- Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep).
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and secure development practices.
- Experience supporting and enhancing production applications.
- Knowledge of OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT, and API security.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or other AI-assisted development tools.
- Knowledge of CQRS, MediatR, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerised platforms.
- Experience with Azure Service Bus and messaging technologies.
- Experience modernising legacy .NET applications.
- Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Application Insights and Azure Monitor.
- Experience in financial services, insurance, SaaS, or other regulated industries.
