Who are we?
Equinix is the world’s digital infrastructure company®, shortening the path to connectivity to enable the innovations that enrich our work, life and planet.
A place where bold ideas are welcomed, human connection is valued, and everyone has the opportunity to shape their future.
A career at Equinix means being at the center of shaping what comes next and amplifying customer value through innovation and impact. You’ll work across teams, influence key decisions, and help shape the path forward. You’ll find belonging, purpose, and a team that welcomes you—because when you feel valued, you’re empowered to do your best work.
The primary focus of the role is program management across the wider design, construction and commercial functions as it relates to the approval of major expansion construction projects throughout the APAC region. This unique position sits at the front end of the Global Design & Construction funnel, bringing together strategy, business case approval gateways, project pipeline visibility and deliverables needed to ensure the business has the right capacity at the right time.
Whilst the role has a defined core remit, with baseline responsibility for governance, reporting, resource/manpower visibility, documentation and approval-readiness remaining the priority, it also offers exposure across Corporate Development, CRE, technical, finance and the delivery of workstreams. This will ensure the successful candidate has every opportunity to make a genuine impact across the region, whether this be through dealings with senior execs, government representatives, Equinix teams or any other of the many touch points of the business.
The ability to communicate effectively, form partnerships, influence stakeholders, and drive accountability across internal and external teams will be crucial in what is a critical, and rare opportunity within the business. Applicants from adjacent, capital delivery backgrounds are encouraged to view the opportunity, and we are open to working experience across client-side, consultancy, general contractor backgrounds.
Applicants should bring enough technical or construction understanding to be credible with design, construction and commercial stakeholders, while also being comfortable translating detail into business-ready reporting and executive materials. If you love operating across multiple workstreams rather than owning only one narrow project lane, being assertive and enacting positive change across multiple business departments – this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for.
Organize communications with stakeholders including design, construction, commercial, external consulting and contracting partners, asset management, real estate and legal; act as a reference point for the team.
Hold teams to account on tasks and deliverables, escalating where needed and confidently holding robust conversations across project, design, commercial and leadership stakeholders.
Support due diligence, site selection and acquisition efforts where required, while maintaining clear focus on the role’s core governance, tracking and approval-readiness remit.
Assist continuous improvement initiatives and develop best practices, including lessons learned, KPI reporting, software/process optimization and training of in-house teams on project management mechanisms and best practices.
Qualifications, experience and attributes:
Extensive experience in real project delivery, ideally within data center development, major infrastructure, complex construction or adjacent capital project environments.
Strong program/project management capability with the ability to operate across pre-construction, business case gateways, governance, reporting, process improvement and stakeholder alignment.
Commercially minded, detail-oriented and confident working with technical, financial, and delivery-focused audiences.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to influence, challenge, nudge and hold stakeholders accountable.
Strong IT skills, particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook; experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera or equivalent tools preferred.
A unique APAC role with visibility across the front end of major expansion projects, including strategy, business cases, governance, technical, financial and delivery workstreams.
Salary package including annual bonus, Equinix shares, health allowance and many more financial, wellness and company benefits
