Full Job Description

Sino Iron | 2/1 FIFO Roster (Ex Perth)

Combined Weld is seeking a motivated Junior Mechanical / Electrical Engineer to support maintenance and reliability activities at Sino Iron. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to gain hands-on experience with large-scale mining equipment while working alongside experienced maintenance professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Support the maintenance and reliability of heavy mobile and fixed mining equipment.
Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and basic electrical systems.
Coordinate and monitor preventative and scheduled maintenance activities.
Support breakdown investigations and help identify root causes of equipment failures.
Work closely with LV workshops and heavy earthmoving equipment maintenance teams.
Monitor equipment performance and recommend reliability improvements.
Ensure all work complies with site safety procedures and company standards.
Prepare technical reports and maintenance documentation.

About You

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
1–3 years' engineering experience
Strong interest in heavy mining equipment and maintenance engineering.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CMMS/SAP is advantageous.
Current Australian Driver's Licence.
Full Australian working rights.
