Sino Iron | 2/1 FIFO Roster (Ex Perth)
Combined Weld is seeking a motivated Junior Mechanical / Electrical Engineer to support maintenance and reliability activities at Sino Iron. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to gain hands-on experience with large-scale mining equipment while working alongside experienced maintenance professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance and reliability of heavy mobile and fixed mining equipment.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and basic electrical systems.
- Coordinate and monitor preventative and scheduled maintenance activities.
- Support breakdown investigations and help identify root causes of equipment failures.
- Work closely with LV workshops and heavy earthmoving equipment maintenance teams.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend reliability improvements.
- Ensure all work complies with site safety procedures and company standards.
- Prepare technical reports and maintenance documentation.
About You
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 1–3 years' engineering experience
- Strong interest in heavy mining equipment and maintenance engineering.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CMMS/SAP is advantageous.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Full Australian working rights.
