Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and make a real difference to our residents every day at our Baptistcare ? Aurum is on the hunt for an enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our friendly aged care team. If you love working in a lively environment where laughter fills the air and teamwork is at the heart of all we do, then this could be your perfect opportunity!

As a valued Kitchen Hand at Aurum, you will:

Deliver consistent high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers to the prescribe service standards.
Prepare food and beverage products to the prescribed standard operating procedures/ duty statement.
Complete cleaning tasks as prescribed by the standard operating procedures/ duty statement or as directed by the Chef on duty.
Advise Chef on duty of any catering-related issues and needs where required.
Complete any operational cleaning requirements as required or directed by the Chef on duty.
Attend team meetings as required.

Roster:

The successful applicant for this position will be able to work a mix of morning and afternoon shifts, availability to work weekends.

Duties:

Deliver consistent high-quality customer service to both internal and external customers to the prescribe service standards.

Complete cleaning tasks as prescribed by the standard operating procedures/ duty statement or as directed by the Chef on duty.

Complete any operational cleaning requirements as required or directed by the Chef on duty.
Attend team meetings as required.

Skills and Experience:

The ability to align to our Values
The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a high-performing team
A passion for delivering great service and a fantastic eye for detail
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
A good understanding of HACCP/food safety programs
Cert III in Cookery or Hospitality (Desirable but not essential)
Capacity to lift up to 20kg
Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical
Ability to pass a National Police Check

Previous experience working in customer service, hospitality, or within a commercial kitchen is highly desirable but not essential.
