About the Role
Are you an experienced Registered Nurse or Paramedic looking to take your career to the next level in a dynamic and rewarding mining environment?
We are seeking a highly capable Registered Health Professional to join our Health team at Telfer-Havieron Operations. Reporting to the Senior Advisor - Health, you will play a critical role in delivering emergency medical care, occupational health services, and proactive health management programs that support the wellbeing of our workforce.
Please note: This role is permanent on 8/6 FIFO roster
About the Role
As the site-based health professional, you will provide medical treatment, health monitoring and emergency care for employees, contractors and members of the public as required. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the medical clinic while supporting the site's commitment to health, safety and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the on-site medical clinic and monitor the overall health and wellbeing of employees and contractors.
Provide rapid emergency response, medical assessment, treatment and patient care across all operational areas and access roads.
Assess, triage and stabilise patients, administering emergency first aid and advanced clinical interventions as required.
Coordinate and facilitate medical evacuations, including liaison with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) and external medical providers.
Participate in occupational health programs, including health surveillance, drug and alcohol testing, and fitness-for-work assessments.
Oversee pre-employment medical screening outcomes and provide fitness-for-work recommendations.
Maintain accurate clinical records and complete all required incident, hazard, compliance and health reporting.
Ensure medical consumables, pharmaceuticals and equipment are appropriately stocked, maintained and compliant.
Deliver training, mentoring and medical support to Emergency Response Team (ERT) members and other site personnel.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and undertake other duties as directed by Health leadership.
About You
You are a proactive and resilient health professional with strong clinical judgement, excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering high-quality care in remote environments.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Paramedical Science.
Current unrestricted AHPRA registration.
Minimum 5 years post-graduate clinical experience.
Previous experience in On-Road Ambulance Services and/or Emergency Department environments.
Mining, industrial, occupational or remote health experience.
Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
Current CPR certification.
HLTPAT005 Drugs of Abuse Testing qualification.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Current and valid Manual C Class Driver's Licence.
Current National Police Clearance.
Highly Regarded
Immunisation Certificate.
Spirometry Training Certification.
Audiometric Officer Certification.
Experience operating and maintaining 4WD vehicles.

The operation includes both open-pit and underground mining and Australia’s third-largest gold-copper processing facility.
