We're on a mission to be a Force For Good, through our People, Products and Purpose at Nuix. Nuix is one of the greatest comeback Technology success stories in Australia, and we're making massive waves each day. Nuix is, and will be, a pioneer in the Australian Technology space, and we're carrying the torch on what "good" looks like.
This extends to our People. We're fiercely passionate, love working at pace, thrive in ambiguity, live, and breathe outside of the box, and above all are good humans. Our impact extends outside of our 9-5, and our place in society isn't always defined by corporate metrics. We're determined to make a positive difference in the world, whether through our solutions which help the top companies, governments and agencies find the truth and combat illegal activities, or through our people who care about contributing and giving back both within, and outside, of Nuix. We are a Force For Good.
We're selective about who comes on board, and you should be too. But if the above sounds like a match, get in touch today and get ready for the possibility of starting a once-in-a-career journey.
Nuix is looking for a Senior Product Manager to help shape how AI creates value for our customers. Working within our AI product group, you will own the roadmap and delivery for one or more AI capability areas - spanning NLP, data enrichment, agents, MCP integrations and the API surface that exposes them - executing against the portfolio strategy set at group level and turning it into shipped, commercially successful capability.
AI at Nuix is different. Our customers - courts, regulators, investigators, legal teams - must stand behind every finding under scrutiny. That means our AI must be explainable, defensible and auditable, built on models and frameworks that are trusted and understood. You will make that promise real in the capabilities you ship: defining how quality is measured, evidenced and continuously improved in production.
This is a hands-on role. You will spend approximately 70% of your time on core product management - discovery, roadmap ownership, delivery and evaluation - and 30% supporting go-to-market for AI releases and launches, working closely with Product Design, Engineering, Data Science and Commercial teams. You'll prototype with AI tools, test hypotheses directly and set up evaluations rather than only writing about them.
This position will be based in our Sydney office. The candidate is required to attend the office a minimum of 3 days per week but may voluntarily elect to work either remotely or from the Sydney office for the remaining 2 days of the wee
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT & EXECUTION (~70%)
- Own the roadmap for your AI capability area(s), executing against the portfolio strategy and translating it into prioritized, sequenced delivery that drives acquisition, activation and monetization.
- Run continuous discovery - market research, competitive analysis and customer engagement - to identify needs, validate solutions and feed insight back into portfolio strategy.
- Define and operate evaluation frameworks for AI quality with Data Science and Engineering: accuracy, precision/recall, explainability and performance benchmarks that hold up in production and under customer scrutiny.
- Work closely with Engineering and Architecture on delivery, ensuring AI capabilities are built as a native, provenance-preserving part of the platform.
- Track the evolving AI landscape - foundation models, agentic workflows, MCP and open protocols, RAG, AI governance regulation - and bring an informed point of view to roadmap decisions.
- Build strong relationships with key customers and partners, acting as a trusted product voice on AI capability, quality and roadmap.
- Define, monitor and report the success metrics for your capability area (adoption, engagement, accuracy, API usage) and use them to inform prioritization.
- Support the development and execution of the go-to-market strategy for AI releases and launches, ensuring a coordinated and impactful market entry.
- Program-manage launches end to end, coordinating cross-functional activity across marketing, sales, customer success, support and legal.
- Contribute to pricing and packaging: provide value evidence, usage insight and packaging inputs that inform the commercial model for AI capabilities.
- Partner with marketing and sales on messaging, positioning and enablement materials (datasheets, presentations, battlecards) grounded in real capability and evidence.
- Manage early access programs with select customers, gathering critical feedback and ensuring successful adoption prior to general availability.
- Define and track launch-specific KPIs to measure the success of go-to-market initiatives.
- A track record of shipping AI/ML-powered products in complex, enterprise-scale environments (big data, analytics, enterprise search, cybersecurity, legal tech or similar).
- Working knowledge of NLP and data enrichment concepts (entity extraction, classification, semantic search) and how to measure their quality in production.
- Experience supporting commercial launches — coordinating go-to-market activity, building enablement and running early access programs.
- Commercial acumen, with the ability to contribute pricing and packaging inputs grounded in customer value and usage evidence.
- Familiarity with AI-native development workflows and a point of view on how AI reshapes the software development lifecycle.
- Strong analytical skills, with a bias for using data and evaluation results to make decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder skills, with the ability to collaborate with and influence technical and commercial teams alike.
- Travel may be required in select cases.
- Hands-on experience with MCP servers, agent frameworks or LLM orchestration in production settings.
- Experience shipping AI into regulated or high-scrutiny environments where explainability, defensibility and auditability are non-negotiable.
- Domain exposure to investigations, information/data governance, digital forensics or eDiscovery.
- Familiarity with AI governance and emerging regulation (e.g. the EU AI Act) and what it means for enterprise product decisions.
