As we continue to grow and prepare for a number of upcoming projects within our Grinding business, we are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Project Engineers for potential 6-12 month contract opportunities based in either West Perth or Brisbane , with the possibility of transitioning into permanent roles.
This is an exciting opportunity for engineers with a strong technical mindset and project delivery experience to contribute to large-scale mining projects while working alongside an experienced team of Project Managers, Project Engineers and Project Coordinators.
About the Opportunity
As a Project Engineer within our Minerals business, you'll support the successful execution of grinding projects from commencement through to completion. Acting as a key link between clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders, you'll help ensure project deliverables are aligned with customer specifications, budgets and schedules.
Responsibilities may include:
Managing allocated portions of client contracts with a focus on scope alignment and technical compliance
Building and maintaining strong customer relationships throughout project execution and completion
Preparing and issuing technical and commercial project documentation
Supporting QA/QC activities, including Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Manufacturing Data Records (MDRs)
Coordinating document control requirements
Assisting with logistics and supply chain activities
Ensuring compliance with HSE requirements and maintaining a strong safety focus
Identifying and managing project risks through active participation in risk reviews
Monitoring project costs against budgets and supporting cost control activities
Providing accurate and timely project progress reporting
Supporting schedule development and management
Assisting with procurement activities, including demand creation and material management within SAP
Participating in internal and client project meetings
Contributing to lessons learned reviews and non-conformance investigations
Supporting installation and commissioning activities where required
About You
We're interested in connecting with proactive and detail-oriented professionals who enjoy working in a complex project environment and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
Ideally, you'll bring:
An Engineering degree and/or at least 3 years' experience in project-based engineering or technical roles
Experience supporting project delivery within engineering, mining, resources or industrial sectors
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
The confidence to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams within a global organisation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and a solutions-focused approach
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Experience using SAP, EDM or similar project and document management systems
The ability to interpret and understand mechanical drawings
A collaborative mindset combined with the ability to work independently when required
Experience within minerals processing, mining equipment or EPC/EPCM project environments will be highly regarded.
